Terms of Use
1. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use HearthLog on devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms or the Google Play Terms of Service, whichever applies to your download.
2. Not professional advice
HearthLog records what you tell it. It does not inspect your property, verify the condition of any appliance, or evaluate safety. Nothing in the app is home inspection, legal, insurance, engineering, medical or safety advice. Always follow manufacturer instructions and consult a qualified professional for work on gas, electrical, structural or water systems.
3. Your responsibilities
- Keep your device backups and — if you use cloud backup — your 12-word recovery phrase safe.
- Do not rely on reminders as your only safety measure for critical equipment.
- Only add content you have the right to store.
4. Subscription
- Plan: one annual auto-renewable subscription with a 14-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.
- Billing: the charge is applied to your Apple or Google account after the trial ends.
- Renewal: the subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancellation: manage or cancel any time in your Apple account settings or Google Play subscriptions. Cancelling stops future charges; access continues to the end of the paid period.
- Refunds: handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
- Expiry: your data is never deleted when a subscription ends. Premium features become read-only and restoring a cloud backup remains available.
5. Data and privacy
Your records are stored on your device. Optional cloud backup is encrypted on your device before upload. See the Privacy Policy for details.
6. Availability and changes
We may update, change or discontinue features. We aim to keep your records readable and exportable, and we will not remove your ability to export your own data.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that reminders will always be delivered, since delivery depends on your device, operating system and notification settings.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data resulting from device failure, uninstalling the app, or loss of your cloud backup recovery phrase.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without prejudice to consumer rights you have in your country of residence.
